Caterpillar Crawl Juice
A fun, hands-on drink activity inspired by caterpillars.
Ingredients
- 1 clear plastic cup (9 oz)
- 6 oz apple juice (or juice of choice)
- Green grapes (washed)
- 2 drinking straws
- Permanent markers: green, black, and red
Steps
- Step 1: Draw Your Caterpillar - Use the permanent markers to draw a caterpillar face and body on the outside of the cup. Your child can draw their own caterpillar, or an adult can help draw together.
- Step 2: Make the Caterpillar Body - Take one straw and gently poke holes through the center of the grapes. Remove the straw from the grapes (this helps keep grape pieces inside). Slide the grapes onto the second straw to create the caterpillar body.
- Step 3: Build the Drink - Pour the apple juice into the cup. Place the grape filled straw into the cup.
- Step 4: Enjoy! - Your child can now sip and enjoy their Caterpillar Crawl Juice! Talk about how caterpillars grow and change as they drink.
